My (Research) Interests

I’m driven by a fundamental question: How can conservation science translate into meaningful action?

My core research centres on biodiversity assessment, High Conservation Value implementation, and the business-biodiversity interface. I’m particularly interested in how environmental standards work in practice, how science informs policy, and the cascading impacts of land-use change. Through my work with IPBES and experience with sustainability standards such as RSPO and FSC, I explore pragmatic solutions that don’t compromise conservation integrity.

Geographically rooted in Southeast Asia, my work now spans global conservation challenges.

Beyond Research

Capacity Building: I mentor early-career professionals preparing for scholarships like Chevening, and I’m passionate about reciprocal mentoring relationships where we grow together.

Sustainable Travelling: Since 2014, I’ve documented ethical tourism and conservation experiences. I’m fascinated by how travel can deepen environmental commitment and support—rather than undermine—local communities and biodiversity.

Productivity & Career Growth: I write about soft skills, career navigation, and intentional living in sustainability sectors. I believe meaningful change requires better people, better systems, and better support networks.
