Taiwan

This is new territory and become one of my favourite country to go so far. In October 2014, I traveled out with a Canadian couple, who are also local biologists in Hualien where lies Taroko National Park. Spent your valuable time from train travel circling Formosan island, see the super skyscrapper of Taipei 101, and go to artsy place at Kaohsiung.

India

in October 2013, I traveled out for a week to 6 cities (Kolkata – Varanashi – Agra – New Delhi – Dharamsala – Chennai) with my backpacking mate, Dini Hajarrahmah, a passionate traveler and young sociopreneur, Co-founder & CEO of Wanderlust Indonesia. It was very interesting and remarkable trip in my whole life. It was also my first time to see Himalayan Mountain range in close distance.

Thailand

My first abroad experience for The 1st Southeast Asian Bat Conference. I am truly grateful that British Ecological Society (BES) support for my travel fund and accommodation while in Phuket in 2007. I was back again in March 2015 but to mainland Thailand for transit holiday, staying in Sumkhuvit area which famous as metropolitan area with my Couchsurfing friends.

China

In 2013, I received National Science Foundation (NSF)/Texas Tech University (TTU) Travel Grant for tropical forest monitoring training in Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden (XTBG), Yunnan, China. This trip was a follow up for previous online course I attended on Tropical Asian Forestry with TTU. It was a valuable opportunity to work along with international students and top experts in East Asian Ecology.

Singapore

It is more than an oh-so-Singaporean city and it could be your best urban traveling experience. I enjoy strolling around Singapore with good friends of mine and travelled as locals here, sipping sophisticated coffee at The New Black. Because Singapore is more than Universal Studio, Madame Tussaud and Singapore Flyer :)

Malaysia

In late 2014, I was solo backpacking for the first time to culture and UNESCO Heritage city of Penang. I spent three days exploring the this unique city. In another time, I will spend time to go to Mallaca, another UNESCO Heritage city and hike Mount Kinabalu at Sabah in the future.
