First time in Dharamsala after Agra, I have been amazed by Dalai Lama Monastery which located just on the slope of Himalayan Ice Mountain. The next thing, most landscape are mysterious and mesmerizing. Furthermore, city with the highest Tibetan refugess in the world and with special priviliges from Indian Government has millions of uniqueness of Tibetan cultures.Continue reading “Dharamsala: The Little Tibet in India | Dharamsala: Tibet Kecil di India”
Taj Mahal was designed so Shah Jahan can see his beloved wife anytime *soo sweet :'(
Besides as a palace and fort, nowadays is used by military officials
If post before about The White Agra | Sang Agra Putih, this time about The Red Agra | Sang Agra Merah. AGRA FORT with its red rocky wall and palace. Located not far from Taj Mahal and a real palace (not Masoleum or tomb like Taj Mahal). Continue reading “The Red Agra | Sang Agra Merah”
I feel Taj Mahal very magical everytime I look into this angle
Loads of girls that day and gate for different sex is separated
Can you imagine that they paint this pool everymonths so it kept blue and give perfect relflection in each photos?
A very busy Taj Mahal gate, just after the rain
All marbles and carved precious stones. In the distance it just like ordinary pattern BUT it is not!
Perfect cut honey comb marble window!
Just outside the palace
Hibiscus flower, Mumtaz Mahal favourite flower carved on Taj Mahal
People and the wet square
The red gate of Taj Mahal.
Is this different angle? Maybe not!
So the tower basically like Pisa. It’s leaned outside the palaca so if there is an earthquake it won’t hit the palace
Look at the celing! AMAZING!
You have to use this shoes cover when you go inside the palace.
This is the famous/boring angle of Taj Mahal
I don’t know why took so long to post all pictures from my India trip but hopefully I stop behave like this. India is such beautiful countries and it was so contemplative during the trip especially when I was in Taj Mahal. It is the most beautiful place in the world so far outside Indonesia for me.
I am so confused how to put all these Agra pictures because it’s all beautiful so I made a photo gallery instead. It must be pretty much boring to see everybody took Taj Mahal pictures from the same angles but anyway I put again that boring angle in one of my picture again here :D Continue reading “India: The White Agra | Sang Agra Putih”
I never know if never been into Varanasi. Around an hour from Varanasi there is small town called Sarnath where Siddhartha Gautama had his first sermon to the world. After a night in Varanasi and visiting The Ganges, we think it would be great idea to visit this historical place. In this very small city, we can see a beautiful remnant of Buddhist temple. Next to this one, there is Architectural Museum where the first Indian gold stamp lion with three heads was placed. However, it is not great time for us and it was closed that time. Instead we visited another interesting garden full with murals of Buddha life.

This is my first post on India and it’s all about Varanasi. My short comments for this city it is very mystical. You will never regret if you go to India even if you tell stories on India after time you will it very mesmerizing. Varanasi is one the holy city especially for Hindu people. You will find life and death here. You will see it enhanced with its quiet Ganges. Reminds me of Barito River in Kalimantan but it just full with decomposed and rotten things. You will amazed how much people bathed and drink its water. How Indian praises Ganges River more than ever. Sometimes you find it still very touristy. Oh well despite everything said by other people, it is always good to see different culture and unique landscape like the Ganges. Actually I made this posting while I am in travelling through Central Kalimantan. I hope I can make another post after this one for sure. Continue reading “India: Varanasi, The Holy City”
I travelled across Singapore and India as part of my ‘holiday’ after Yunnan last October. It was my third time in Singapore and like it as usual. It was great to see all beautiful buildings and magnificent human-made-landscapes. Most these photos below are Singapore Flyer and Garden of The Bay (it was great to visit as well).Continue reading “Singapore: Buildings”
This post is about my new friends and collegues from China trip. Eventhough I have full range photos collection on Facebook, I just want to show it again here (the one that impressed me as amateur photographer LOL. I think I made lots of photos of Noah here. He’s just so cool! :D). I met lots of bright students across US, Asia, or even Africa for sure. Haven’t count it how much but so far US, Philippines, Indonesia, Srilanka, Taiwan, China, Canada, Africa (forget which part … sorry :|). I need to tell you stories more about Tropical Asian Forestry course in XTBG (Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden) but for now you can check this link because they just open full scholarship for next course in Spring 2014 (Deadline 15th November 2013!!).Continue reading “China: XTBG People”

What I remember from Yunnan, China is their marvelous fruit and meals. So many barbecue place for a vegetarian even more for an omnivore. Honestly I am trying to be more healtier in China because most of the meals so oily and salty. But oh well it is a part of culture experience. Everything in Yunnan most likely to be combination of Lao, Thai, Chinese, and Vietnamese cuisine (because adjacent location each another). Sometimes a bit sour but also fresh such as Dai Cuisine, one of the tribe in Yunnan Province. Continue reading “China: Yunnan and Food | Yunnan dan Makanan”
This post I dedicate for my buddies, Indri Juwono, who’s an architect and also traveler. Kunming as many growing city across China is full with unity of old and new buildings. As the largest city in Southern China, Kunming is really impressive and beautiful. The worst part of this city is probably only the taxi. It would be difficult to get taxi eventhough you’ve waited for hours.

As a part of Yunnan, China trip I took macro photography lesson with Pierre Honoré. I think my point-and-shoot techniques getting better now with my Fujifilm X10 (Thanks to Pierre!). It is a vintage style camera and really nice for documentation and macro (it has super macro!) although bad for telephoto. At first I want change into DSLR but I still like its compactness and practical for traveling.
